Crimpity crimpity now now, crimpity crimpity ask me how

Dear American Idol,

If it is not too late to suggest this (which it probably is, but you can use my ideas next year), I humbly suggest the following themes for the eleven "Top 12" weeks of American Idol:

  1. Queen
  2. Neil Diamond
  3. Musicals
  4. #1 song from the day you were born
  5. The Cure
  6. Wizard Rock
  7. Gilbert and Sullivan
  8. Famous commercial jingles
  9. Crimp Night
  10. srah's choice
  11. Live Crocodile Night (no singing involved)

Those are excellent ideas! I would vote for anyone if they just sung this.

Can we just do Live Crocodile Night first and skip the rest? Ahh, what sweet relief that would be.

Srah's night - that means you would be the guest judge! Even better. I would even watch. Well, not live, but I would totally look it up on YouTube.

Commercial jingles?

It will only be a half-hour show, because the songs are so short. Rice-a-roni would be a good one. Or that horrible Pepto-Bismol one listing off the symptoms.

Number one song from the day you were born would be awesome. And potentially extremely unfortunate. But mostly awesome.

For me, it would be "Sailing" by Christopher Cross.

Depending on the chart, it's either Karma Chameleon by the Culture Club, All Night Long by Lionel Richie, or Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. I don't know what I'd choose, since those are all just wonderful, wonderful songs.

Oh I like the song from the day you were born...granted I may widen it to the year you were born. That may give them a little more options.

And I love the other suggestions too, maybe Simon will call you up and thank you for the fabulous ideas, haha.

They did "year you were born" a couple of years ago. I like the idea of making them sing a particular song they're probably not familiar with. Take that, Idols!
