Compendium epistolaritus
Dear WNIC,
All this fake-ass pre-Thanksgiving Christmasery is driving me nuts. It is harder and harder for me to resist decorating the blog for the holidays.
Your somewhat loyal fan,

Dear Stupid Band On The Radio Who Used The Phrase "supersize our tragedy,"
Oh my god, you suck. What the hell was that?

Dear Saleswoman at Ann Taylor,
I'm sorry I argued with you. You said the coat I was returning had been paid for with a check and I argued that it had been bought with a credit card and went on and on with my explanation when you knew the truth and could see the truth written on the receipt. I'm sorry I wasted our time because although I had reread the receipt a million times before returning the coat I somehow managed to miss that detail every time.

P.S. Are you from Australia or something? You talk funny.
Dear Girl Who Called My Office Today,
I just wanted to let you know that I hated you because you thought everything I said was just so great but you wouldn't actually listen to anything I was saying. Plus, you thought you were pretty cool because you were from New York City.
She Who Answered The Phone
Dear Earth (and jday),
OMFG.

Dear U2,
I really hate that song that starts "Uno... dos... tres... catorce!" Catorce means fourteen. Why did you jump from three to fourteen? Does it mean something, or were you just pretending to know how to speak Spanish? Please re-record the beginning of the song so that I can go back to ignoring and really not caring about your music instead of actively hating it.

I liked WNIC before they started playing exclusively Xmas music...on 2nd November! If they started doing that one month later, it would be fine. However, I was disappointed not to find an audio stream for them over the Internet.

RE: U2 - Wow. My sentiments exactly.
As far as commercials go, Apple usually has pretty good taste in music. The only thing that bothers me about their ads is that they play them over and over and over until the song becomes annoying and I hate it. This one is the rare exception. I hated the song the first time I heard it. And they won't stop playing it. It almost makes me want to run out an tell Apple I won't be buying an iPod anytime soon.
You know who had good music in their ads for awhile? Volkswagen. They were using Geggy Tah (!) and Barenaked Ladies songs. Oh, and that Mitsubishi ad with the Dirty Vegas song (Days Go By) made me go out and buy the album, which I thoroughly enjoyed, even if they did overplay it.

WTF?!?!?!?! As an admittedly addicted smut reader, I am appalled by the travesty that is the doll set! Hopefully my husband will never see that and have more fodder for the passtime that is ridiculing my habit, erm hobby.

That U2 thing pisses me off EVERY TIME I see it. At first I was thinking, "Please tell me he's singing Portuguese or something kind of like Spanish, but not." But no. He's just wrong. You can't just count wrong because you think it sounds kinda cool. Whatever, Bono. I'm so over you.
Christmisery. Heh.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates that song .....
Maybe Christmasery should be spelled Christmisery.
