I'm not a little girl, I'm a bionic woman.

I am having a Judd Apatow-fest of late. I recently checked Freaks and Geeks out of the library and watched it for the first time. Well, sort of. I watched the final episode back when it was on TV and went "Oh, this is pretty funny. But now it's cancelled. I guess I should have started watching earlier." Then the voices of thousands of Freaks and Geeks fans cried out and were suddenly silenced. I feel bad for them, because I felt the same way after Arrested Development was cancelled and people kept telling me they'd seen it on DVD and thought it was sooooooo great. Where were you when it needed saving???? GAH!

Anyway, when I was about halfway through Freaks and Geeks I went to see Knocked Up, which was very cute. Since a lot of the actors from Freaks and Geeks were in Knocked Up, I thought I would watch some more of the Apatow oeuvre. So I checked Undeclared out of the library and rented The 40-Year Old Virgin, which I hadn't seen since it was in theaters.

These movies and TV shows are excellent! I love the casting overlaps, because it means that I get to see these funny people in all kinds of different characters and situations. I love how there's a sort of sweetness to all of them, like "You may be kind of a nerd and your life may seem like a nightmare right now, but it's all going to be fine in the end."

Go out and rent/buy these DVDs!
