Dreams
I dreamt last night that my family and I were driving north across the Mackinac Bridge (for the uninformed, this is the bridge that connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan) and then next thing I knew, we were taking a ferry into Sydney Harbor in Australia (but I couldn't find the Opera House anywhere because there were too many amusement park rides on the shore). We got off the boat and then we were in Turkey, and we were mad because the airline had lost our bags. Then I realized I had no idea how long this trip...

In all of my Apatow-fest viewings, I have taken a shining to two of his fetish-actors (Do we use that phrase in English? Where did I get that phrase from???). The first is Martin Starr, whose comic timing and delivery is HUGE and SPECTACULAR in a very understated way as Bill Haverchuck in Freaks and Geeks (but he's also very good at the sad, hurt parts as well). I am having a Judd Apatow-fest of late. I recently checked Freaks and Geeks out of the library and watched it for the first time. Well, sort of. I watched the final episode back when it was on TV and went "Oh, this is pretty funny. But now it's cancelled. I guess I should have started watching earlier." Then the voices of thousands of Freaks and Geeks fans cried out and were suddenly silenced. I feel bad for them, because I felt the same way after Arrested Development was cancelled and people kept telling me they'd seen it on DVD...
