You can't go to Pigfarts. It's on Mars.
30 Days of Harry Potter - day 4: Top 3 favorite characters
My top 3 Harry Potter characters are:
- Neville Longbottom
Neville's one of the characters I most enjoyed seeing grow and change throughout the books. He started out timid and lonely, with low self-esteem, but you could see that as he had opportunities to stand up for himself, win points for his house and find subjects that he could excel in, he gained confidence in himself throughout the series. You might not have expected that the Neville Longbottom losing his toad in Sorcerer's Stone would turn out to be the bad-ass of Deathly Hallows. I had this dream that, since Trelawney's prophecy could have referred to Harry or to Neville, that it would be revealed in the last book that Neville was The One who would save the world from Voldemort. Then I spent most of the time I was reading Deathly Hallows getting more and more frustrated that he wasn't in it. My hero didn't appear until page 570! In the end, though, even if he didn't single-handedly destroy Voldemort, he destroyed the next-to-last Horcrux and joined the ranks of the trio, Dumbledore, and (strangely enough) Vincent Crabbe in contributing to the destruction of Voldemort. You go, Neville!
- Arthur Weasley
I love Arthur's curiosity and interest in Muggles, who are pretty looked-down-upon in the wizarding world. I know that feeling, of being a supporter of the underdogs, and it also makes me feel special that there's someone in the Harry Potter universe who is as interested in my world as I am in his.
- Remus Lupin
He is a very interesting, complex character, especially when you look back at how he's grown from his Hogwarts days. Considering Sirius went a teensy bit loony being locked up in Azkaban for years, Moony turns out to be most normal and mature of the bunch. He should have been Harry's godfather, because he would have been a better influence/example/parent figure. Also, and perhaps more importantly, he makes the list because in the movies, he has the cutest moustache.
Following the example of Jennie!, I am not including the main trio, since Hermione and Ron would probably come in slightly ahead of Lupin.
