« Oscar countdown!

All the decisions have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs...

I have been eating a lot of peanut butter this week. This can mean only one of two things:

  1. My body is telling me, "Sarah, we¹ need more protein! We will make you crave peanut butter so that you will put more protein in us!"
  2. OR

  3. My body is telling me, "Sarah, you bought peanut butter on impulse at the store last week. Why did you waste money on peanut butter when you don't even like peanut butter? We have to use that stuff up!"

I don't know why my body is so concerned with my spending habits.

¹ My body sees itself as an autonomous collective or an anarcho-syndicalist commune rather than one singular being. That probably explains a lot about the way I run.

How can anyone not like peanut butter? And to buy it when you don't even like it...ha :)

I live off of peanut butter, no joke.
Creamy or chunky?

gravatar srah - February 27, 2008 - 12:19 PM -

It's creamy.

I like peanut butter when combined with chocolate and this week I've been eating it on toast, but a peanut butter sandwich (or worse, peanut butter and jelly) is just gross and sticky to me.

I have no idea why I bought this peanut butter. Was I intending to bake something with it?

What a fabulous footnote... so very funny.

PB cookies made with chocolate chips. Yum!!!

gravatar srah - February 27, 2008 - 1:13 PM -

I like the opposite: chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips.

Crunchy peanut butter is the only way to go. I made a peanut butter cake once with peanut butter frosting.

yuck peanut butter!

one word - nutella

I always think about buying it at the store but then decide against it since it is like 200 calories a spoon!

Now I'm trying to picture the way you run. It's kind of like Phoebe on that episode of Friends where she and Rachel go jogging. Hee.

gravatar srah - February 27, 2008 - 2:45 PM -

I hope I don't run too weirdly. I mostly just wrote it for a joke!

You have to like peanut butter! Peanut butter and banana sandwich's are the best.

I haven't bought peanut butter since August, but I still have some in my pantry...I hope peanut butter doesn't go bad.

The title of this post alone had me giggling... I love peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Delish!

gravatar katelin - February 27, 2008 - 5:11 PM -

Mmmmmpeanut butter. I love it. And with honey!? Delicious!

gravatar Cheryl - February 28, 2008 - 9:02 AM -

I was going to tell you to make ME peanut butter cookies!

gravatar Sylvie - February 28, 2008 - 10:23 AM -

Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches make me go mmmm mmm mmm!

gravatar Jess - February 28, 2008 - 12:18 PM -

I LOVE peanut butter. I should start eating more of it, I think.

gravatar James D - February 28, 2008 - 12:31 PM -

I just want to make sure that it is not crunchy PB. You know that if you have crunchy PB, you are automatically on the No Fly List.... to bad for Srah!!!

gravatar srah - February 28, 2008 - 12:32 PM -

It's creamy! It's creamy!

gravatar Maxie - February 28, 2008 - 10:14 PM -

When I go to the grocery store hungry, I buy ridiculous things... things I would never buy if I wasn't starving.

gravatar EV - February 29, 2008 - 12:41 PM -

I've actually been really into the alternative nut butters lately. Almond, cashew, sunflower seed (it's delicious, no joke). They're supposedly healthier than peanut butter (more good stuff, not less fat), and if you go to Whole Foods and get the fresh almond butter from the machine that starts with a pile of almonds and turns it into goo, ZOMGYUM.

gravatar Kathy - February 29, 2008 - 1:37 PM -

The best peanut butter is the "grind your own." Unfortunately, I usually let it get rancid before I have a chance to finish it. Word to whoever mentioned Nutella.

March 1st is National Peanut Butter Lovers' Day!

gravatar srah - February 29, 2008 - 4:52 PM -

Not for me!

gravatar srah - March 2, 2008 - 2:20 PM -

EV, I bought some almond butter. I'm not going to open it till I finish off the Jif, though!
