What's that? Another picture post?

Waaaaaaaaaaah, cry me a river. At least you (probably) have a voice.

I'm going to guess "Losing My Mind" from the musical "Follies" by Stephen Sondheim, even though I know it's not right.

"The coffee cup,
I think about you."

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 8:19 PM -

Nope. Thanks for guessing, though!

(Hint: it's tea rather than coffee.)

Beauty and the Beast ?

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 9:40 PM -

Nope.

This is actually pretty exciting! We haven't had many wrong guesses before!

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 9:56 PM -

Labyrinth.

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 9:58 PM -

I'm tempted to just guess all sorts of things.

I am really curious as to what lines you guys are thinking of. It's not that. I actually never thought of Labyrinth as a musical, but I guess it is.

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 10:02 PM -

How stupid am I going to feel when someone finally gets this one?

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 10:04 PM -

Well, it's a well-known song/musical, but it might be hard to guess from the picture. I didn't think it was that hard, but I know the answer!

gravatar J - November 19, 2007 - 11:07 PM -

I am never, ever going to get any of these.

gravatar katie - November 19, 2007 - 11:10 PM -

If the picture is the clue, but it's hard to guess from the picture, doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Does 1776 have a song about tea? I know it has one about rum.

My Fair Lady? "There'll be crumpets and tea without you." (ie, in the picture, you're in the tea, but there are no crumpets, so the opposite would be crumpets in the tea but no you)

I totally get creativity points for that one.

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 11:13 PM -

Sure, you can have some creativity points. They don't count with the other points, though. :D

I am totally confused by your MFL explanation.

gravatar katie - November 19, 2007 - 11:18 PM -

In the picture, there are:
- tea
- you
- no crumpets

The lyrics say there should be:
- tea
- crumpets
- no you

So it's an opposite thing. Does that make sense?

gravatar katie - November 19, 2007 - 11:20 PM -

Aaaaah!!! It's from The King and I!

Getting to know you.
Putting it my way,
But nicely.
You are precisely
My cup of tea.

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 11:21 PM -

It's not an opposite thing.

I think it's just hard because there aren't many elements to the photograph to trigger an "Oh, it's THAT SONG reaction." At least in the Sound of Music one you had the jam and bread to help you out and in the Oklahoma! one the Tempest stuff helped out.

gravatar katie - November 19, 2007 - 11:22 PM -

And no, I didn't google it.

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 11:22 PM -

Correct!

gravatar katie - November 19, 2007 - 11:24 PM -

I couldn't get unstuck from MFL because of the "Cup cup cup cup of of of of" scene. So I started walking around talking to my dog, saying, "You are a cup of tea." lots of times until the music popped into my head.

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 11:24 PM -

Ha ha! What a helpful dog, to be your cup-of-tea guinea pig.

gravatar alfie - November 20, 2007 - 12:02 AM -

I was stuck on My Fair Lady as well.

gravatar bob - November 20, 2007 - 10:30 AM -

I still think it's Follies and YOU'RE wrong, Srah. WRONG WRONG WRONG. :)

gravatar srah - November 20, 2007 - 10:37 AM -

Listen, you. I wield supreme executive power around here. So shape up! :D
