We had our yearly photo session this weekend to take a picture for the family Christmas card, just as we've done for the last 28 years. Wow, that's a lot of years when you write it down! As usual, Alfie and I insisted on taking some joke pictures and messed up many others by having no idea what we were doing. Hansel and Zoolander we are not. As usual, we fervently wished that our parents would choose the joke/outtake photos over the serious pictures. And as usual, the parents prefer the serious ones. So we'll be sending out this one:...

Many of my blogfriends are participating in projects/memes on Flickr where you take a picture every day for a year. I put off joining any of these so that I could get started on January 1... and then I didn't actually take any pictures on January 1. I finally got started on the 3rd, so I am now finished with a whole week. I present to you my first week in Project 365!: I hope that quality of photographs and subject matter will improve as the year goes on. Frankly I'm just impressed that I haven't missed a day yet!...

I went bowling tonight with Johanna, Renata, and Amandine, Bernadette and Cédric, three BTS students from Presles who are Renata's neighbors. My Pato has sent me pictures, including this one of him in costume as Medvedenko in The Seagull. He got to wear Harry Potter glasses and I think he looks more like my mental image of Harry than Daniel Radcliffe does. This is not something I normally would have thought about my boyfriend, and it is really rather troubling that I should be attracted to Harry Potter. Anyway, Alex is incredibly adorable and ALL MINE. So there. My own pictures from Vichy should be coming along soon, as they're in the United States being developed at the moment......
