Legend- wait for it -ARY!

It's time for a game I like to call Haaaaaave You Met Ted? Conversations with an Imaginary Colocuter. I tend to prepare myself in my head for conversations that never happen. Today, the topic of conversation is the TV show that I illegally superlegally downloaded from the Internet to watch on my trip.

Imaginary Colocuter: Say, what's that you're watching there?
me: It's a TV show called How I Met Your Mother. It's really good! It's about this guy in the future telling his kids the story of how he met their mother. Except it's been going on for two years now and as far as we, the audience, know he hasn't met her yet. He just keeps telling them about other things that happened on the way. So basically it's about a guy who's really really bad at telling stories.
Imaginary Colocuter: Oh, that sounds greaaaaaaaat.
me: Shut up!

How is this show so good when the premise is so dumb? And why do I always seem to have conversations with imaginary jerks? And why am I not more persuasive, even in my own fantasies?

Maybe you would have more confidence if you gave yourself the right to be capitalized too when retelling your imaginary conversations.

I love that show! And especially NPH of course.

I really like the show as well, so don't worry, you're not the only one!

I didn't feel a need to capitalize "me" because it wasn't a proper noun.
