Aren't you relieved to know that you're not a golem?

I just watched Stranger than Fiction. It made me cry and cry. Seeing Will Ferrell cry when he's not just drunkenly sobbing about being in a glass case of emotion really gets to me. This was the first time I've seen him in a straight role, and I was surprised to find that it actually worked for him.

As for the movie... I was expecting something totally different. I don't know if it was the marketing campaign or just the presence of Emma Thompson, but I was expecting something along the lines of a romantic comedy, and it wasn't anything like that. I thought it was okay. The end didn't really work with the rest of the story, which is kind of strange because it's about a book where the end doesn't really work with the rest of the story. I didn't want it to end the way it did, but that was the only way it could end. So it was okay but not great. And it's possible that's what they were going for.

I just watched Stranger than Fiction also. I must say, I liked the scene where Maggie G. made Will F. cookies and then later when he brought her a box of designer flour. That's true love baby!

The flours were so cute.

Yeah. I liked this movie partly because it was about writing, and partly because I love Will Ferrell so damn much -- even when he's playing it straight.
