Wondering...
I hate main characters. I only like supporting characters. Is it possible to write a novel with no main characters?
I think my novel needs an evil clown, but I have no interest in writing a novel about an evil clown.

Think about the context. What if the evil clown was in a dream? Or was a clown costume, that turned people evil when they put it on? Or what if there were 2 brothers: one was evil and the other was a clown (who was not necessarily evil)? Or maybe the evil clown was only a catalyst to some action in the main story, and not necessarily the focus of the story? Hmm... see so many options!
BTW: how did you get your little picture in the browser tab? (I use Netscape.)
