Local geography quiz
On Washtenaw Avenue going east after the US-23 exit, there is a left-turn light onto Pittsfield Boulevard.
Am I LOSING MY MIND, or did that just appear this weekend? Didn't it used to be a regular light, where you had to wait for oncoming traffic? It was a stupid regular light, because you couldn't see the oncoming traffic coming up the hill, but I believe it was a regular light when I went through that intersection late last week.
It's like it just came out of nowhere - one day it was a plain light and the next it was a left-turn. Unless it's always been there and I'm going crazy. Will some AnnArborite please comment and make me feel better? Or worse?

... who also lives two blocks from Pittsfield Blvd. and Washtenaw: Sorry about whatever this may indicate about your mental state, but there's been a left-turn arrow there for quite a while. If there weren't, it would be absolutely impossible to turn onto Pittsfield from westbound Washtenaw at rush hour. It's a solid line of cars out there.
In other Washtenaw Avenue news, check out the big new Chinese supermarket a couple miles east of there at what used to be a Mazda dealer. The giant live fish vats (several of them with eels) are magnificent in themselves.

signs....
Well, they changed a bunch of things. Like when Glen hits Washtenaw, there used be 2 left turns and 1 right turn. Now, all of a sudden there are 1 left and 2 right turn signals. There were no signs telling people of this. So people who didn't pay attention to the actual arrow were just turning wherever they pleased this past weekend.
