It was 75 and sunny in Florida all last week. It made me wonder why people live in this Yahweh-forsaken place. We Michiganders are a silly lot.

It's 70 degrees in St. Louis!!! I never appreciated my humble home town's weather until I came to A2.

And oh yeah, we (Michiganders) are supposed to get a few inches of snow overnight. Nice. Really nice.

Well, you know how I feel about snow. . . . (the more the better)

But since coming to Ann Arbor, I discovered that the key to getting along with the rainy weather is to keep your eyes on the ground. The reflections in the puddles are amazing. The muted colors, people with umbrellas, and especially the naked trees silhouetted against the light grey sky are breathtaking - especially the way they are fragmented from puddle to puddle, and the way the whole view shifts and changes as you walk. Sometimes the whole sidewalk glistens. It's beautful. (I'm a sucker for naked trees anyway)
