Will somebody get this scantily-clad carpet out of my way?!

StarWars.com, a site which I certainly do not have in my RSS feeds and do not read daily updates from, has posted an article about Hasbro's recent release of the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith action figures.

"This mighty Wookiee warrior comes with a blaster, a bandolier, a helmet and a base."

This mighty Wookiee warrior also seems to come with some kind of armoured loincloth. It's very strange that an armoured loincloth would have been invented or that a Wookiee would wear such a garment, but it's even stranger when you consider that Chewbacca never wore anything at all.

Mr B------ and I are sad, pathetic people with no lives and as such have spent hours on end speculating about Episode III. One of my favourite scenes to imagine is the one where the Jedi are trying to convince the Wookiees to join their cause:

Scene: Some sort of Wookiee den

    OBI-WAN KENOBI
... electricity out of his fingers. So you see, that's why you should fight with us, against the eeeeevil Senator Palpatine.

    A WOOKIEE
I say, old bean. It does seem raaahther a good plan, what what.
(thinks it over, puffing on a pipe)
Right. We're in, then. Just let me slip out of this smoking jacket and into my armoured loincloth.
    (gets up)

Enter CHEWBACCA

    A WOOKIEE
(shocked and embarassed) Oh, I say, Chewbacca! Can't you see we have guests? Do try and put some clothes on for Daddy, won't you?
    (aside, to OBI-WAN)
He's a little... special, you see.
    (to CHEWBACCA)
Say hello to the nice Jedi, Chewie.

    CHEWBACCA
Grrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllgggggghhhhhh!

    A WOOKIEE
No, you can't have another cookiee*. You'll spoil your dinner.
    (shakes head, turns to OBI-WAN)
Ah, Chewie. Always thinking with his stomach.

* Ha! I laugh at my own typo and leave it for you to laugh at as well!
