Here thar be meme regarding international... relations.
1. How many people have you dated that were not naturalised citizens of your country?
I've never dated anyone who was a naturalised citizen of the US... although I have dated people who were born here. Let's see, I would count it at two for non-US citizens.
2. Have you ever dated someone that was not of your race? How did that work out?
Yes. It never seemed like an issue. It may have been because Alex was foreign in addition to being Latino and identified himself more in the former category, but it actually didn't occur to me until well into the relationship that he even was of a different race.
3. How many different countries have you visited?
Six (UK, Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Chile).
4. If you could go to a specific country of your choice ... no expenses spared ... where would go visit, and why?
All of 'em. I'll start with... Iceland? Because... it's cool? It's icy-hot!
5. What is your favourite international flavour?
Indian, although I think I like most of the international cuisines I've tried.
6. I love French and Indian movies. What other countries' movies do you enjoy?
The UK, France (although I much prefer their comedies to their dramas), um... well, generally I stick to movies where I understand the language or culture to some extent, so most of the foreign films I've seen have been in French, Spanish or Chinese!
7. How many other languages do you speak besides your native language?
Three, if you can count my pathetic Mandarin as another language I speak.
8. Do you have international friends, and what countries do they come from?
Having studied abroad, worked abroad, been president of the International Student Union at Albion, made Internet friends and blogfriends... yes. Among them: England, Chile, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Pennsylvania, India, Romania, Colombia, Germany, Taiwan...
