If you want me, here I am, come and get me
I hate it when I find myself standing beside the bed and remember how I used to be afraid, when I was small*, of scary hands reaching out from under the bed and grabbing my feet.
I hate it when I think about how silly and ridiculous this was... then start thinking about the hands and have to immediately jump into bed.

Jeez Katie. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the matress today . . .
Crimoney. Please disengage your claws and return them to the declawed position.

Oh . . . wait . . .
You were . . . and I was . . .
Right . . .
Once again . . . my face is red.

Once again . . . my superpower is the ability to jump to conclusions . . .
Much like IM, blogging has the tendency (at least with me) to be somewhat volatile, especially when you don't know the other person, their particular nuances or their tonal inflection . . .
In my case, I just need to stop and reread things several dozen times before I make a fool out of myself.
'Hello, I'm Wildly Irrational - Somewhat Dislexic Man!'
Have at you!
(I don't expect you to understand any of this. I'll go back to my rock now.)

Oh! So . . . I'm not the only one that feels that way? :)

I'm not mean. Just honest.
Besides, I know srah knows how I mean things. Just like I know exactly how she means things.
That's fine.
Many years later, after having seen 'Jaws' one too many times, I still wake up in the middle of the night and wonder if the floor has turned into water and Jaws is just waiting for me to step naively out of bed . . .
