I am nothing if not predictable

30 Days of Harry Potter - day 20: What would you change in the epilogue?

In the epilogue and all the post-Deathly Hallows interviews J.K. Rowling has done, the thing I would change is: More showing, less telling. Don't just tell me what happened to the characters, show me. I don't want you to tell me that Dumbledore was in love with Grindelwald in a post-series interview after you had the opportunity to show it in the book and didn't bother to put it in.

This is the best moustache that my Photoshop skills could give you.
And I want more epilogue, or none at all. I want nineteen more Harry Potter books to cover the intervening years, which will also show rather than tell me the story of how Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbot came to fall in love and show me who the heck Rolf Scamander is. The epilogue was fine, but I would have liked it more if it was a whole book. Whyyyyyyyyyy do you introduce me to Rose, Hugo, James, Lily, Albus and Scorpius only to take them away again? Why do we know that they exist but don't know who they are?

Wait, on second thought, forget all that. The answer to your question is: Ron should have had a moustache.

Ron should have Lupin's mustache. Lupin's actual mustache, implanted on his face.
