My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nuts
Apparently nine pies weren't very good for us. Perhaps our mother is on Atkins. Still, it's probably better to lose a planet than to gain hundreds and hundreds, in the grand scheme of elementary school mnemonic devices. My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies, Clobbering Quite Orange Sheep Xrays?
(Why does Every Good Boy Deserve Fudge? I remember this mnemonic, but I don't remember what it helps you remember. :( )

I remember a rather naughty mnemonic device for remembering cranial nerves. Damn if I can remember what the letters in OOOTTAFAGVSH really stand for: Olfactory, optic ... uh, some other ones ... vagal ... hypoglossal(?). Yeah. I definitely remember the naughty words, though? ;-)

Don't forget All Cows Eat Grass / All Cars Eat Gas.
alfie - August 25, 2006 - 1:36 AM - ℓ
Olfactory
Optic
Trigeminal
Facial
Auditory (also vestibulocochlear - thank you, Wikipedia for fixing my spelling)
Glossopharyngeal
Vagus
Spinal Accessory
Hypoglossal
These are the ones that I can usually come up with looking at the letters. I was missing:
Oculomotor
Trochlear
Abducent
Pretty good for not practicing cranial nerves in a long time. I found that I kept forgetting the mnemonics.

apete, whatever you do, don't look at the NEW food pyramid. Talk about confusing; it sort of blew my mind.

On old Olympus towering tops a Fin and German viewed some hops. (Good job, Alfie.) I don't know the naughty one.
It's for the lines in the staff in treble cleff for music, isn't it? It goes with FACE.
