Two legs good, fake 'water' beverage baaaaaaaaaad

Sometimes my blog posts serve to inform others, and sometimes they serve to record my thoughts so that I do not make the same mistake over and over again. For the record, Glaceau Vitaminwater "Focus" kiwi-strawberry flavored beverage is a mistake I would prefer not to make again and also one that I would like to warn the world about. Isn't that handy? All that this beverage is managing to make me "focus" on is the fact that it tastes bad. That and the fact that it claims to be a drink made up of vitamins + water but also contains 4% of your daily value of sugars. And 100% of your daily value of nast. Boo. I bought this and an "Energy" citrus-flavored one on a whim. Let's hope that one's more appealing than this junk.

Now I shall continue drinking it because I'm cheap and stupid and thirsty.

"Vitaminwater"? Who thought up that snappy title!

Thanks for the warning. I'm nast+abetic and have to limit my intake. But sugar I consume like a fiend.

I've tried a few of these . While I hadn't found the orange flavor to be completely revolting , I've found that these occasionally cause me to have explosive diarrhea .I think it's all of the sugar .

Shut up, you!

Seems pretty handy to me that you can get 100% of your daily value of nast all in one place.

Attention everyone!

I have re-examined the bottle and realized that the percentages given were for 1 serving, but that there are 2.5 servings per bottle. Apparently one is not supposed to drink all that nast in one go.

So instead, 1 bottle provides you (if my math is right, which it probably isn't) with 10% of your daily value of sugar and 250% DV of nast.

That's a lot of nast!

Thanks for the PSA

the nast! ah-ha!!! i knew i'd corrupt you eventually!

and for the record, they used to make a fabulous 'fruitwater' which was cranberry-lime and it was fantastic. much, much less sugar & a good flavor. i cannot such things in idaho. do they still make cranberry fruitwater in parts east? or, should i say, parts more urban?

I'm guessing it's the vitamins that bring the nast. Stupid vitamins, what do we need you for, anyway? ... Oh. Yeah.

crappy vitamin water. I once told myself that I was never gonna buy that stuff, laughed at its marketing gimmick. Then one day I was sick and was lookin for something health and lo and behold they had vitamin waters precisely for that. I felt lame. Ha, this reminds me of an asher sarlin comic:

lol what is the nast? maybe the ill flavor? it tastes like a snapple, and it made me verrrrrry sick yesterday. That's why I found your blog, i was trying to find others who it had made them sick, and find out why if they knew. send em an email to pterim@aol.com if you know anyone who got sick from this kiwi strawberry nastiness. Oh and I called the company and told them, they are sending coupons. I'm not sure if i should try again tho... lol
