All growed up and moved out...
Dear World,
I am stealing a neighbor's wireless to let you know that I am all moved in and quite a bit of my stuff is put away - it's mostly just a matter now of putting clothes in drawers and CDs on shelves and putting books in order. And I opened a jar by myself today!
My online presence may be diminished until I set up my own Internet connection - I'm feeling plenty guilty about being an Internet thief.
And now... back to shopping for a butter dish, a sugar bowl and something to eat tonight!

Many congratulations. I remember my first post-education apartment, which was also my first solo residence. It was a sleazy, dishonestly run hellhole in a lousy Chicago neighborhood, but I nevertheless still remember it fondly.

My first post ed apartment was in Ft. Wayne, IN. I have fond memories of it also even though it was nothing special and I had almost no furniture to put in it. I think the hardest part was learning to live alone after being at home and then in a dorm with people around all the time. I had really high phone bills, but that was before the day of e-mail and cheap phone plans.
You could go talk to your neighbor and split the cost of the Internets.
