Amazon said they are doing it to "thank their customers". I'm the one who purchased your copy! So what's he doing showing up at your house???
Perhaps they will be sophisticated enough that, in the case of gift orders, they will send the celebrity to the purchaser's home. In that case, I'd like one order of Ewan McGregor with a Liam Neeson on the side, please.
