Get thee to a movie theater, posthaste!

Who says it's a bad summer for movies? I've seen plenty of nice things, including:

What movies are you looking forward to for the last month and a half of summer? That's right, I said month and a half. Where did the summer go!?!

First: I have no idea.
Second: Oooh. Tim Burton. Johnny Depp. Candy. Yay.
Third: Awwwwwww. Penguins. Top five on the list of animals I would love to have as a pet. No, really. That's what happens when you see zoo documentaries featuring tame penguins who prefer snuggling above all. I want one. Now.

There's a whole month and a half? Yippee! I forget that summer doesn't end directly on my birfday.

I want a walrus!

Everyone dances better than you!

Note: That was my evil sister, not my mommy!

Well at least you don't need to dance to be on AI!

gravatar katie - July 26, 2005 - 11:39 PM -

But you do need to dance to be on Dancing With the Stars!

Haven't seen the movie yet, but in the previews it seems like Johnny Depp is doing a cross between the original Gene Wilder Wonka and Jim Carrey. It didn't appeal to me. Please tell me that it's actually ok when you see it!

Willy Wonka was really weird. There was something endearing about him, and yet strange. He put me on edge.

But the rest of the movie was definitely good enough to make up for him! It's weird - you would think that it would ruin the movie, but there's so much good stuff that the weirdness is only a minor distraction.

I was surprised when I saw the previews. Somehow I had expected Depp's Wonka to be less flakey and more...dark.
