srah blah blah: Pondered whilst doing laundry at 1 am:

Why is it that on TV, someone's always disastrously putting a red sock in with their load of white laundry?

How often do you see people in red socks, anyway?

I have wondered about that myself. I haven't worn red socks since grade school.

The only color disaster I can remember had to do with something purple or dark blue.
