Recent pet peeves
- When blogs I like don't have RSS feeds that let me read them in my email client, so I actually have to check to see if they've updated
- Captchas that use numbers. I do a lot of computing in the dark! I can't see where the numbers are! Spell words, because my fingers know how to find letters in the dark.
- Flash animations with a "skip intro" link built into the Flash. I don't have Flash at work. I haven't had any luck upgrading the plugin on Firefox to Flash 7. This means that there are a lot of HTML sites I can't enter because I can't view the animation with the link in it. Stop that!
- The nagging suspicion that there is a world-wide conspiracy among pants, desks and blankets to touch, rub against or hit the spot on my knee where I cut it shaving and ripped a few layers of skin off. It hurrrts!

For the new version of ArborBlogs I am using the RSS aggregator as the blog directory, which unfortunately cuts off a few users. It's too hard to maintain a separate aggregator and directory though.

Have you seen that FedEx commercial on TV with the pirate who goes ARRGH?
I don't even know the first thing about using an RSS feed. And even though I read about these captchas you speak of, I still don't understand the peeve. Sometimes I feel so tech-dumb.
