New entrance essay question: What happens 72 days from today?

Sometimes I am astounded by the sheer number of nerds that SI has attracted to one place. Other times I am astounded by the vast quantity of nerdiness that has been amassed here.

Depends on how you look at it, I guess. Either way, I seem to spend a lot of time being astounded. Do you think there's a way to harness this power and ensure that it is used for good rather than evil? I'm thinking maybe we could fashion it into some kind of ring...
