Success measured in deaths, or lack thereof

Last night I tried out my cooking skills on my parents. This is something I've only done two or three times since I got back from France, because it requires all kinds of advance planning and warning so that I can be sure to have the right supplies on hand.

It was also only the second time I've ever cooked chicken, which was terrifying for me. Vegetables and legumes are pretty nice, but I've avoided meat because it has the scary potential to be undercooked or have something else wrong with it and kill everyone at the table.

Nobody's dead yet, as far as I know.

So ten points for srah!

I undercooked some turkey a while back. I had to stay within easy sprinting distance of a bathroom for days afterwards.

Chicken is fun to cook. It's yummy.

However, it's easier to tell when beef is done because it changes color.
