Hannibal the Information Professional
As you may or may not know, this past Saturday's halftime show at the Michigan-Houston football game was a tribute to the School of Engineering, which will be 150 years old in 2004. It was clear that there was some engineering influence on their music choices, as the songs they chose made engineering sound like a wild and dangerous discipline.
Although I have resigned myself to the fact that it ain't gonna happen in reality, I can still dream of the marching band's Salute to the School of Information. Unfortunately, I can only come up with one song that would be appropriate. Mummy has suggested that I appeal to you, the readers, for more. Any suggestions?

Because it's the dirty story of a dirty man? We are not working for the Daily Mail.
We are looking for songs about librarians, archivists, designers of user-centered systems, software designers, website designers, information policy-makers, information management specialists, etcetera etcetera etcetera.

How dumb. I am sad the bad thought that would be a cool tribute to engineering. They already think they're a lot cooler than they are. Excuse me, but which library is full year on and year off, summer or winter, weekend and holiday? That's right, the Media Union, the engineering library. That *is* one wild bunch.
