Ain't no party like an archives party

I think I would like to be known for being plucky and resourceful. I don't know exactly what plucky means, but it seems to go well with resourceful.

Last night we found ourselves gathered around Ben's coffee table, opened up the Trivial Pursuit box... and discovered that there were no pieces or dice. Did we pack it up and head home? NO! We are resourceful! And also plucky! We played with the one trivial pursuit wheel that had managed to stay in the box and my Eiffel Tower keychain as markers and kept track of pie pieces on a separate piece of paper. Many suggestions were made for the lack of die (drawing A-6 playing cards - except there were no playing cards, drawing SET cards - except they only go up to three, creating a random number generator on the computer - except that would take a hundred years and the person who could do it was leaving, making our own die - except that would mean giving Robin scissors), but we finally threw papers marked 1-6 into a hat and drew numbers instead of rolling.

I would also like to point out that the previous entry was written at 12:19 AM, when we all came home, exhausted, and collapsed. We are such party animals.
