Blogging Queen

I could be that clever Mr Dvorak's perfect blogger!

...Make it clear that you spend the day, week, or month sitting on your rump reading other blogs instead of looking for work...
Who does that sound like? That's right.

...comment on links that their authors discovered and cut and paste these links to your blog. If you're trying to jazz up your blog, italicize the text that you cut from the other blog. Add a sentence or two as to why each link is so cool...
I'd just like to thank Blogatelle for linking to this article in the first place.

...If you miss a day, use the next day's entire blog entry to apologize profusely...
I believe I was apologizing to myself, rather than to my readers, for getting behind on the graduation countdown. But same difference.

...Pepper your text with words like screed, grok, gonzo, meme, and other bloggerisms to show that you are a hip and with-it blogger...
Meme to you too. I don't know what the rest of them mean. But meme meme meme.

...Make sure your blog page has a list of your favorite bloggers...
Check.

...Give your blog a cute name, perhaps even using a pun. "Blog on the Run." "Blogday Afternoon." "Bloggin' Fool." "Hot Blog and Relish."...
Title rhymes. Check.

...In fact, write the whole blog in poetry. Tell others to contribute. Run everything you get...
Silly Dvorak
I don't even like poems
Haiku, however...

...If you are a lunatic fan who has fallen in love with a rock singer, actress, or actor without ever meeting him or her, then your blog should contain a lot of pictures of the target of your affection—possibly nothing but pictures. Go on and on about how hot the person is. Do yourself a favor and avoid showing pictures of the secret hidden-in-the-closet shrine you made...
Harrumph!

I don't know why blogging seems to be under attack by print media lately. Half of us, like me, just blog about our daily lives and what Lego-man we would be. That's all we need and sometimes that's what I like to read. I like to get a balance of people who talk about big issues and people who talk about their cats. I'm not sure why professional journalists are feeling so threatened... but I'm a little glad. Give 'em a run for their money or something. ;)
