What, exactly, is the function of a rubber duck?

30 Days of Harry Potter - day 7: What class would you most want to take?

I always think it's interesting when the students I send abroad have an opportunity to take an American Studies class in another country. Even if it's not in a formal academic setting, one of the most valuable experiences students have abroad is the opportunity to see their home culture from an outside perspective, but it's especially interesting when they find themselves learning about America in a foreign classroom. For this reason, I think it would be interesting, as a Muggle, to take a Muggle Studies course and see the way our culture is taught in a wizarding classroom.

This is assuming, though, that I would be coming to Hogwarts from a Muggle background. I suppose as long as we're imagining things, I could be coming from a long line of wizards. I still think Muggle Studies would be interesting, because I think I might be a bit like Arthur Weasley in that respect. But on the other hand, it would be useful to learn some Defense Against the Dark Arts, especially if I had an opportunity to learn it from Lupin and his moustache and his handy supply of chocolate.
