I am Ravenclaw with Hufflepuff leanings. Is that a thing?
30 Days of Harry Potter - day 16: House you would want to be in
Maybe it's because I've always identified with the house, but I feel like Ravenclaw is the house that has been most poorly treated by Warner Brothers¹. For some reason they changed the house colors from blue and bronze to blue and silver and the house animal from an eagle to a raven. If you want a scarf for any other house, you can just buy it from the Warner Brothers store, but if you want a real, authentic Ravenclaw scarf then you have to have a sister with mad crocheting skillz.

¹ Although the scarlet of Gryffindor looks pretty purple on my screen.

I think the better question is "Why would the house called Ravenclaw have an eagle as their animal instead of a raven?" I mean, by naming the guy that turns into a dog Sirius and naming the werewolf Lupin, Rowling proved she didn't mind skipping subtlety entirely, so that's not the issue.
