Just gimme gimme gimme gimme/ Fried chicken
I just got back from a conference in Lexington, Kentucky. If my culinary experience in Lexington is any indication¹, Kentucky is not known for fried chicken or bourbon or anything like that, but Indian food (which I ate twice in the 48 hours or so I was there) and pretzels (which I ate three times).
Next year's conference is in Cincinnati, and I have volunteered my advice/help to our local arrangements committee, including the suggestion that our mid-afternoon snack break should involve a make-your-own Cincinnati chili bar and/or Graeter's ice cream. YOU'RE WELCOME, fellow conference attendees. (I am also going to advocate for the 2009 conference theme to have something to do with pigs. Then we'll have sessions called things like "Trimming the Fat in Your Study Abroad Office", which I want to give, just in order to use the title.)

Is that the song the Kathy Najimy nun sings in Sister Act?

Isn't Cincinnati Chili just spaghetti with chili on top? And maybe cheese and onions?
I love Cincinnati Chili! Our neighbors in Indianapolis hailed from Cinci and Ginsel made this a lot. My mom has the recipe & I'll try to remember to get you a copy. And the best I can do on this song is that it's from Queen and in my head it goes "no black, no white, blah, blah, blah gimme gimme gimme fried chicken". I'm sure someone else will do better!
