I have dreamed thee too long, never seen thee or touched thee but known thee with all of my heart

I had a two-layer dream last night where I dreamt (within the dream) that I was at the opening day of a Beatles museum and I was some kind of special guest. John gave me a tour and a very young George made eyes at me. One of them was in love with me, but I don't remember now which one it was. I must have seen Paul somewhere too, because when I "woke up" from the dream within the dream, I told my mom that I'd dreamt I'd seen all of the Beatles except Ringo.

I didn't remember any of this until I turned on the radio this afternoon and found out that it was Beatles Weekend on the local oldies station!

Arg. You made me remember the dream I had last night that I can't post now because my site is down. :(

Wow, that's an amazing dream. And a great weekend of music!

Man of La Mancha.

Also, jealous of George making eyes at you.

P.S. I

Stupid comment.

I said that I heart Sbakula.

I was going to fix it but you beat me to it. Another point for Alfie!

If you want to say you [heart] something in the future, you can do "& lt;3" (take out the space).

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 12:38 AM -

What the heck does Sbakula have to do with anything?

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 12:41 AM -

I imagine the post title being sung by Sbakula. Or John Cullum. Not Richard Kiley.

Or Scott Baio.

gravatar srah - November 19, 2007 - 12:42 AM -

Oh, gotcha.

Wait, Scott Baio? What?

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 1:04 AM -

"Richard Kiley is the poor man's John Cullum. And Sbakula. And Scott Baio."

I will never forgive Richard Kiley for the fact that god-awful movie. I wouldn't forgive Lerner and Loewe, but they actually did something I love, My Fair Lady.

Which movie? Jurassic Park?

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 1:14 AM -

The Little Prince. We had to watch it in French. In English. We only watched movies in English in French class. It was ridiculous. We watched the Charlie Sheen/Oliver Platt/Kiefer Sutherland/Chris O'Donnell Three Musketeers, The Little Prince and I'm sure we watched something else in English. I never exactly got the point of that, but it basically meant I could turn my brain off for an hour, so I wasn't about to object.

My radio station this weekend was playing 90s rock. It was kind of fun. They did an hour of 99, an hour of women, an hour of DMB and an hour of Rage Against the Machine (although, I could only take so much of that hour).

I am dying over the fact that somebody actually had to watch the Kiefer Sutherland/Chris O'Donnell The Three Musketeers FOR CLASS. A class that was not Crappy Filmmaking 101.

gravatar alfie - November 19, 2007 - 2:32 PM -

Nope. French 3AC - not just French, we watched that version (in English) in accelerated French. I think the regular French 3 class might have actually watched movies IN French.

gravatar Elisabeth - November 19, 2007 - 5:31 PM -

How about twice in the same week in French? Thank you, string of substitute teachers!

I love little synchronous moments like that. And dreams within dreams... I get those as well. Really cool when different levels of consciousness interact like that. Or at least that's my interpretation of it and it sounds Jungian, so I'll stick to it. :-)
