I couldn't care less what she'll wear or what she looks like/ It all depends on what she cooks like
I made brownies this weekend, and they got a little overdone, which makes me sad. Why is it that when you burn brownies, it's the edges (the best part) that get burnt, and the middle (the second best part) is just fine? I am going to invent brownies that finish cooking in the middle first, leaving tender, chewy delicious edges no matter how long you cook them for.
What's that? My baking ideas aren't based in reality? Well, um... LOOK OVER THERE!

I'm not sure whether I'm upset that I'm not getting to see the posts before other people or if, as a guy, I should be happy that other people are answering first, so I don't feel the need to reveal just how many answers I know.
Oh, and "Beef, pork, chicken, yum!" (That was what I instantly thought when I read your title.)
There are a couple of things to try with the brownies: Check the temperature of your oven and make sure it's maintaining the temperature appropriately. Also try pulling them a little earlier. They may not seem completely ready in the center, but they will set up on cooling (just don't cut them until they've had a chance to cool).

I know exactly what I did wrong with the brownies! I did not turn the dial carefully enough, so it was a bit over 350°, and I didn't realize it until I went to turn it off when I was done! This is my first time making brownies in this oven so I'll have to remember to be more careful (and check on them instead of depending on the timer) next time.
