Dream

I dreamt last night that instead of living miles from Ohio's border with Indiana, I lived miles from Ohio's border with Italy. My family took a wrong turn and ended up in Ravenna, Italy, so we checked out a gift shop, which was owned by an old Amish lady. My grandma turned out to be chillin' in the café there. I looked over the things for sale in the gift shop, like "Greatest Hits of Ireland" and "Greatest Hits of Spain" CDs, but I didn't have any Euros. Then we went out to watch the harness races.

I have never been to Italy, so I can only assume that it actually is full of Amish people, gift shops, my grandma, CDs from other countries and harness racing. Right?

Long before I went to France, I dreamed it was all just a huge duty-free airport shop in which you could buy ticky-tacky Eiffel Towers and snowglobes, and that it was perfectly okay with the French people if all you knew how to say was "Incroyable!"

In other words: I dig.

Yes, that is exactly what Italy is like!
