Dreams, etc.

When I woke up this morning, I looked at my watch and one hand was on the 9 and the other on the 12. 9am, thort I, An excellent time to wake up.

Alas, 11:45 is not so excellent a time to wake up. Who on earth needs that much sleep?

I wish I'd woken up earlier because I was having a really frustrating dream about golfing with all of these preppy people. I had never been golfing (I have never been golfing in real life, either) and was very nervous and didn't know what I was doing. The first girl took her shot and it popped up in the air and hit a tree branch, so it only went about 10 feet. Now that I think about it, what were we doing, golfing through trees? Oh well, doesn't matter - I think it was someone's back yard, anyway. So when it was my turn, I kept having to set up my shot because I didn't have room to swing or the ball was on a hill and kept rolling away or I didn't have a good angle through the trees. So it took me about 20 minutes to set up my shot, then I did it and it actually went quite well and got near the hole. But then the girl who'd taken that first bad shot got jealous and picked up my ball and started flying it around in circles like an airplane and dropped it even further away from the hole than her ball had been. Jerk-ass.

Yesterday I took a nap and dreamt that I was walking along this path next to some railroad tracks, with a fence between the path and the tracks. Suddenly the path was blocked by some big metal bars so I had to cut through a hole in the fence and cross the tracks. On the other side of the tracks there was a river and this boat arrived just as I got there. This woman grabbed me and was like, "You have to help these high school students that are arriving," or something. I never ended up having to help anyone, which seemed sort of strange at the time. Next thing I knew I was living in a house with a bunch of people including the woman who grabbed me and I suddenly realized I didn't have my debit card because she'd stolen it out of my purse when she grabbed me. I knew it would be hard to find the debit card but I wanted to make sure she would get caught and I thought it would help the police if I took a picture of her. So I got out my digital camera and I tried to take a picture but there wasn't enough light and the picture wouldn't take. She was getting annoyed by me standing in front of her with the camera. I turned on some lights but it still wouldn't take. She got up and went to a different room and I followed her, turning on lights and trying to take the picture. She kept moving all over the house and at one point it finally worked and I got a series of about five shots of her. Once I'd taken the picture, though, I realized she would just steal the camera and delete the pictures so I came up with the brilliant plan that I would have to sleep with my camera in my pants.
