If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere
I've got my placement for Alternative Spring Break so In a few weeks I'll be jetting off to New York, where I will wander around like a True Midwesterner, wearing black socks and shorts and staring up at tall buildings until I get my camera stolen. I will be working in the library of an unidentified* international organization and eating in their cafeteria, which I hear is marvelous.
I've only been to New York City once - and that was for less than a full day. Now I'll be there for a week - working, sightseeing and perhaps making new SI friends. Or wandering up to strangers in the cafeteria and trying to speak French to them.
