'No one can understand the mysteries of the Library tradition unless they have lived it'

Or, "What is this, Slap the Librarian Day?"

Wednesday night is the night that all of my SI friends come over to watch movies. This was a very special night because Matt had taped The Librarian: Quest for the Spear just for this event.

It was the perfect audience to share this terrible, wonderful movie with. It was so bad and spoofish that it was good. We bitched about Noah Wyle's character becoming a librarian without a library degree, went "an RSS feed of WHAT?", my mom squealed in pain when the "librarian" pulled books from the shelves by their spines, and we totally called all kinds of things that happened, from individual lines to BOB NEWHART TOTALLY KICKING ASS.

The best part of the movie was that it was left open for a sequel... a sequel involving TIME-TRAVELING NINJAS!

So when does the DVD come out?

I watched that! I said at one point, "I hope that Bob Newhart gets to kick ass in this" AND THEN HE DID! It was like a religious experience.
