Holiday Download Extravaganza: J is for Journey!

For some reason, I always have this swelling of pride when the singer says that the boy was "born and raised in South Detroit" even though I am not from Detroit and I don't even know what's in South Detroit. I am retarded like that.

The curious thing is that there *is* no neighborhood known as South Detroit. Due south of downtown Detroit is Windsor. There's Southwest Detroit, but it's never known as South Detroit. It's merely license granted for the sake of euphony.

I've wondered about the South part myself. I've lived north and semi-south of it and no one ever refers to it that way.

Maybe it's about one of the other Detroit's in the country, I think there is 7-ish total...

I am nowhere near Detroit and know nothing about it.

Also, this song is the greatest sing-along song EVER. Except, maybe, "Bohemian Rhapsody," but I blame that on Wayne Campbell.
