*Clubs Trump*
At Marshall Field's today I saw a big display for the new fragrance "Trump".
My first objection to this fragrance is that "Trump" sounds like "frump" or "stump." This is not an attractive image for a cologne. It's just not an attractive word. Trump trump trump. (In doing a little research for this post, I discovered that a "trump" is a fart in UK English.)
Putting the sound and meaning of the name of the cologne aside, Trump? The connotation is that by wearing this cologne, you will be associated with Donald Trump. So you will be seen as a failed/failing businessman with one of these on his head?
Do not anger me this holiday season, or it's a bottle of eau de fart for you!

I have to say that The Donald, in all fairness, is really thriving quite nicely. He may be a shite public figure and have the most blandly unsual TV personality, but a failure he is not--he's got his hands in lots of pots. According to Forbes, he's nicely settled into his position as a billionaire. So scoff at his scent and at the wonderful fun they make of him on SNL, but not at his business savvy.
No idea why I felt it was necessary to defend The Donald...sigh...
trump, toot, parp, to "step on a duck" - there are loads of ways of saying it.
