Welcome to the new design
If you were previously getting here through www.srah.net/weblog/index.html, try www.srah.net/weblog/index.php or just www.srah.net/weblog/. I changed the index page to a .php file extension. I don't know why, other than Katie told me to. Oh, and I'm taking that PHP class in the fall, so I can assume I'll eventually learn why the hell I just did that. Stupid PHP!
So... here it is. Yes, the left column is enormously long. I was in love with this design until I had completely forgotten all of the stuff that was in my right column before, including my blogroll. So I've squashed it all into the left column, occasionally putting things into little pop-up windows (which don't all work correctly yet). Once I actually figure out how, I hope to make things in that column expand and collapse so that they won't take up so much space. But you don't care, do you?
Anyway, enjoy. I am enamoured of my little comments box design, so please leave plenty!

- I got nothing for original content, so go visit these fine folks. Shawty has an announcement to make. And both she and Ms. Bayou have kick ass new jobs to boot. I'm all happy for them and stuff. Dave is... [Read More]

Hey Sarah . . . I popped in to see how life in France is treating you . . . I like the look! I got a kick out of the archive reference to 1776 last year . . . I checked it out and found this
Daddy: "I bet there are only half a dozen people that have seen 1776 a thousand times."
Me: "Yeah, and four of us are in the room right now."
ummm . . .You've grossly underestimated as 5 fans of 1776 are living in Grand Blanc so by my reckoning that makes 9 who have watched the movie. When we lived in Philadelphia and visited Independence Hall for the first time, all we could do was remark how they made the place resemble the set in the movie and sing the songs!

Yes! Though I, personally, would insert "fun" in between "foggy" and "filthy"! I should go see if 1776 is on DVD, which would be way cool, our VHS is fairly beat up!

Drats, you out-redesigned me! Bah me for sitting on my butt instead of actually moving and uploading, tsk tsk.
I like this simpler, casual look. It's easy on the eyes and easy to read. Not that the previous layout wasn't, although I make it sound that way.
Oh, look at the time, it's almost shut-up o'clock...
P.S. Is there some kind of light punishment for those who don't enjoy pictures of the Eiffel Tower? I really think there should be, because that's some lovely piece of pointyness, if you ask me. It's purdy.

Becky! Thanks for that lovely piece of info . . . I'll be running to the store in the morning! And Sarah, dancing is mandatory especially when Tom plays his fiddle! :D
