How I spent my morning
The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to look at my watch.
OMG, I thought groggily to myself, for I always think groggily in internet acronyms when I wake up in the morning, It's one thingy away from the big 9. I only have two hours until lunch. I need to get up so I can do something productive with my morning.
After I got up and hooked up to the jumpstarting machine that resets my brain every morning, I realized that while it was indeed "one thingy away from the big 9," I had apparently forgotten which way was clockwise and which was counter-.
It was, however, nice to be up two hours earlier than expected. I, ever behind in the internship-finding process, finally sent out my Google application and contacted 13 other organizations with preliminary "Here's who I am, here's what I want, can I send you my resume?" emails. I've already gotten two rejections, but I've also gotten a "Yes, please send your resume" so we'll see where things go. One is a more libraryish-type position, but it's in Brussels and they're willing to give their interns language lessons. Schwee.
