Whatever happened to that Do Not Call list?

"A name pronounced is the recognition of the individual to whom it belongs. He who can pronounce my name aright, he can call me, and is entitled to my love and service."
- Henry David Thoreau

I'm going to memorize this so that I can recite it to telemarketers, who never seem to pronounce my relatively straightforward last name correctly.

That's not the worst pronounciation I've gotten. Usually from my idiot friends who thought it was funny to slaughter my name.

My reply to a mispronouncing telemarketer:

"I'm sorry, there's no one here by that name."
