Give me something to read when I'm all examed out
I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.
So c'mon, my little chickadees. How would you like me to remember you?

hey srah--I lurk here a lot and read faithfully. A little something I discovered about myself yesterday at our office holiday party last night--
I am very shy when it comes to meeting new people, particularly male adults for some reason. I would rather make an ass out of myself on the dance floor than mingle with others. Now I am bowing my head in shame and embarrassment today.

My name is Jez. I lurk here a lot and I comment here a lot too.
I'm hopeless at things like this.
Erm....
Although I am perfectly willing to gaze into a computer monitor for hours on end, television bores me rigid. Unless there's a good football (soccer) match on.
How's that? Rubbish? OK, I'll get my coat...

When I was a kid, my favorite movie was Ernest Goes to Camp. (Note that this is even funnier if you're familiar with my current taste in film.) I learned the song "So Happy Together" by watching this movie.
Thankfully, I've grown up and no longer enjoy the Ernest movies.*
*...or do I?

Well, here's two things that were meant to be one:
I used to sing Def Leppard songs on karaoke, and many more too, but i can't remember them (which is the second thing -- i can't seem to remember details about the past for anything... like some people can tell stories about what they've done or like or read or watched or visited ... i just don't remember -- strange huh?)

If a rush song comes on when I'm alone in the car I sing every word and play air drums.

I have taken the Albion exit off 94 many times (just to go to McDonald's and/or get gas) and only just realized on the last stop (in September) that that's how you get to the school.
I've been actively (and somewhat unsuccessfully) avoiding my boss for 7 hours now. I have also been trying to ascertain if she's walking funny since she just returned from her honeymoon.

I never throw away letters or cards that people write me. I have bags and boxes and file cabinet full of thousands of personal letters dating back to the 60s. I just can't toss 'em--they're so personal! I've been lugging this pile of wood pulp--er, cherished communiques--around for years and years now from home to home.

I taught people to drive semis and buses for six years
I'm currently in the middle of my life (assuming a normal life expectancy) and taking computer science classes and working part time in our college library computer lab
I think of you when I work in said library for some reason
I have lately started appreciating the beauty of youth, no matter what a person's physical characteristics
I ate two shortbread cookies while I thought about what to write here, after promising myself that I wouldn't eat any more till Christmas

The first think I think about when getting online is checking your blog, although this is the first time I've ever commented... and I have a hopeless attraction to anyone who even slightly resembles Mr. Darcy I mean Colin Firth, or any other gorgeous British actor, for that matter.

Hmmmm, I'm a lurker.
I've been told that I could very-well be the love-child of Conan O'brien and Chris O'Donnell.
As such, I have a very large cranium and hats don't fit me all that well.
The first CD I ever bought was the soundtrack to Jurassic Park. I still love it.
