Jim and me is goin' down to slop the hogs
While reminding myself of the difference between an intransitive and a transitive verb, I came across this FAQ from Dictionary.com, which answers many of your grammar-related questions. There is, unfortunately, no mention of the me/myself/I discussion.

You truly are as big of a language dork as I am! You rule! I've felt so alone all this time...little did I know that there were others (or AN other) out there like me. I, too, have marked the FAQ page in my favorites, and I, too, have been once again blissfully reminded of what the "lay"/"lie" issue truly is. But who the hell would say "She lay on the chaise all day"?
great page, I marked it as a favorite,
although I didn't see either of the answers I had previously heard/read about the whole nine yards, or that "gry" riddle.
