srah's Musical Trivia Quiz III: The Return of the Quiz
Becky has inspired me to start again. The research for the latest edition of Srah's Musical Trivia Quiz (which always seems to happen when I am musical-soundtrack-and-Discman-clad at work and have nothing better to think about) was grueling. It took great effort to stop from bursting out loudly in song and dancing around in my chair.
1) What I give, I choose to give
2) Look in your mind/ I'm there, nothing's new
3) Up there where skies are ocean blue
4) No one can make us give our rights away
5) Let's all stroke together like the Princeton crew
6) Tell me the bad times are clean washed away
7) Yes, it came direct from Paris, France
8) Beedle-ee-dee-tee-dee
9) I leave and heave a sigh
10) Catch the moon/ One-handed catch
11) Super-ultra bonus points for admitting you know: Somebody soon will love you/ If no one loves you now
Guess away! Musical and/or song title! The wronger the better!

Damn. Kate gets the Super Duper Booger Points before anyone else has a crack. So I will declare that these points are negative and you have to make them up with other correct answers.
Are there any Albionites out there who can tell me what's special about this song for more Super Duper Booger Points?

Ok, if it makes you happy, I didn't get any of them until people started posting the answers. And that Sound of Music one was a gimme! I should have seen it a mile away.
So it's wrong answers you want, eh?
#5 could be from Pippen. (I'm being lewd, if you didn't know.)
#7 is from Moulin Rouge.
#8 is from Alice and Wonderland Music on Ice.

I think #6 is from Little Shop of Horrors but I can't remember which song.

Just to clarify, this is where we stand so far:
1) What I give, I choose to give [Man of La Mancha]
2) Look in your mind/ I'm there, nothing's new [Starlight Express]
3) Up there where skies are ocean blue
4) No one can make us give our rights away [Newsies]
5) Let's all stroke together like the Princeton crew [Chicago]
6) Tell me the bad times are clean washed away [Little Shop of Horrors]
7) Yes, it came direct from Paris, France
8) Beedle-ee-dee-tee-dee [Cabaret]
9) I leave and heave a sigh [The Sound of Music]
10) Catch the moon/ One-handed catch [West Side Story]
11) Super-ultra bonus points for admitting you know: Somebody soon will love you/ If no one loves you now ["Love Makes the World Go 'Round" - from what musical?]
Hints: #3 is a non-traditional musical, #7 is very traditional, and #11 is rather obscure and sucky.
11. love makes the world go round?
