goodness, where are my manners?

I was thinking about the fact that srah's mommy reads this blog, and even comments sometimes. I then remembered back to the days of being a kid when, if I went to someone's house, it was impolite not to first say hello to the parents before running up to my friend's room to play. Now I know this is a little bit different, but I feel that I must still say:

Hello, srah's mommy! I'm Katie from Vermont, and I'm not a bad influence on your daughter, honest! If you're anything like my mommy, then I'm sure you're wonderful.

That's better.

Even Srah's daddy sometimes reads this blog, although not as regularly as when she was in France!

Oops! Pardon. :) Hello, srah's daddy!

If you are anything like my daddy, then 50% of the time you would be my arch-nemesis, and 50% of the time you would be my best friend. So... anyway.

Sounds about right, except that he is only my arch-nemesis in that he's exasperating.

Hello, Katie, it is very nice to meet you. I always enjoy your comments to Sarah's blog.

Always? Wow, that's a tough order to fill. :)

I hope I never run into you and your mommy and daddy on the street because they're gonna be all "That's the girl with the potty mouth. Such horrible language. Tsk tsk."

I bet we wouldn't recognize each other. Sometimes I wonder if I've ever read the blog of random people I stare at in Meijers.

gravatar katie - June 17, 2003 - 3:59 PM -

I wonder if that's why we see someone and think they look reeeeeeeally familiar. Perhaps we've seen their photo on a blog somewhere?

When we were in Meijer last week, Srah kept lookinig around saying, "What if someone here reads my blog...or I read their blog?" I had to point out the obvious answer...that I read her blog and vice versa. P.S. Hi Mommy and Daddy!

The likelihood of running into other bloggers may depend on which Meijer you were at.

gravatar katie - June 17, 2003 - 8:51 PM -

We don't have Meijers in New England. Does that mean I'll never see another blogger? :(

Becky: Don't go telling embarrassing stories about me on my blog. I'm supposed to do that to you! Actually, it's not embarrassing, but I wanted to affirm my right to tell embarrassing stories about you.

Erica: Carpenter Rd.

Katie: No. No, you won't. Meijers only.

Ah, Ghetto Meijer. I say less chance of bloggers than Ann Arbor-Saline Meijer.
