With a Friend Like Harry, who needs other reading material?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out June 21, 2003. I know, I know, I'm the last person in the world to know this, but I heard on the radio that it was coming out in the fall. It didn't occur to me that they were talking about the French translation. Duh.
Amazon gives us a sneak peek at a few lines of the text, including the opening:
"The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive.... The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four."
and some text from later in the book:
"Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. 'It is time,' he said 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'"
Promoguy adds that
"Much anticipated, and somewhat delayed, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" is 768 pages long, and by word count one-third longer than its predecessor, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," published in 2000."
Yippee. Hopefully they're a good 768 pages.
Rather exciting. Let the countdown begin at five months and three days, donc.
