The Wednesday Whimsy

The Wednesday WhimsyYou can mold any type of government you would like for the nation you are about to rule. Describe the form of your government, and your style of ruling.
In high school Government class, we had to come up with an ideal form of government. Ours was something like a "rotating democratic oligarchy". Heh heh. Plus, we had super-weapons.

You have just been given control of a small nation with a stable economy, friendly international relations, internal peace and prosperity, no homelessness or illiteracy, a hardworking yet relaxed people, and a culture which is studious, developed and leisurely. All in all, your country and people want for nothing. What are your first three official actions?
I would encourage the exchange of business between our country and other countries. Sure. I don't know. I think I would do nothing until something happened. So my first three actions... make someone get me a sandwich, take a nap, and go on some "diplomatic" trips.

Now your nation has the opposite problem - everything is going wrong. Industry, agricultural and international economy have all ground to a halt. The country is in imminant danger of brutal invasion by its neighbors. The people are labouring beyond their breaking points, all for nothing. Your cultural heritage is in critical danger of being lost and forgotten forever. Crime is everywhere, and there is a severe deficiency of food and shelter. Sickness and illiteracy abound. Your people are unhappy and angry. Assuming you don't slip out of the country quietly, what are your top three priorities?
Sheesh. I might hide under the bed. Then... I would start paying teachers more. Education is good for a lot. Educate doctors, educate people about cultural heritage, educate businessmen, eliminate illiteracy... Then I would encourage students to go study abroad and bring back some ideas.

Describe a recent dream.
Last week I dreamt that Andrew W.K. had put up all of these posters announcing how glad he was to celebrate the college graduation of a fellow Ann Arborite. Then last night I dreamt that I was pooping and pooping and pooping all over the place. Andrew W.K.... poop... I see a pattern.
