Good sign My email notification
Good sign
My email notification program just told me that I had email from the French Embassy worker who's been keeping us updated on the assistanat
thing, but my email program wasn't running yet. Given the extremely slow
nature of my computer, it took about ten years to start up the program and
I spent the entire time envisioning the rejection and the panic attack that
would follow. The one advantage I had was that my History professor might
accept "future-related panic attack" as a valid excuse for not having my
paper done tomorrow morning. It finally loaded and I got this: ...I am awating an official list of approved students from France. At
this point most of you will be accepted. The only reasons for which you
should not be accepted are the following: If you are older than 34 years
of age or younger than 18 years of age. If you are not an American citizen.
If you have a grave medical condition listed on your medical form. By the
end of April, you should receive a letter of acceptance or in some cases
rejection. If you receive nothing by May 5th, please call me so that we
may look into the matter...
Phew. Not denied. And maybe won't be denied at all. Future not too uncertain. No panic attack.
Darn, that means I have to write this paper.
